Paige is the founder of The Legal Paige, a virtual legal educational platform working with small businesses. She is a certified Juris Doctor and holds a double B.A. in Economics and Political Science. After working as a federal law clerk, Paige traded in the traditional law life for a virtual one and opened the doors to The Legal Paige in 2018. She helps her clients and online community run legal and protected businesses through her contract shop, podcast, YouTube channel, and blog. Her mission is to create an online space where the law isn’t so scary and entrepreneurs can get legally legit in no time.
✿ Paige is the owner and lead attorney at The Legal Paige, a legal education platform for small business owners where she offers you to build your legal toolkit by providing contract templates, advice, a podcast, and free resources for small businesses and entrepreneurs
✿ Primarily serves service based business owners because of the exchange of contracts between clients and business owners but also helps crafters and entrepreneurs who need legal guidance for growing their businesses
✿ We talk about being a sole proprietorship VS becoming an LLC (limited liability company!) and when the time is right for your business to register as an LLC
✿ We also get into "Fictitious Name” (aka DBA: Doing Business As) which is a statewide register of your business which is used as, for example, permits for doing markets VS trademarking your business name, which is a federal recognition of your business. We get into the trademark process and if that step is right for you
✿ We also get into protecting your work from being copyrighted and taking proactive steps to be prepared and feeling that your business is protected
